The week is quickly coming to a close, so let’s celebrate with a particularly joyous edition of Pick Your Poison. Diet Cig continue to deliver high energy and memorable hooks atop steady lo-fi garage rock melodies. Their newest single is a real blast. It’s been a few years since Land of Talk released a new record, mainly due to the fact they were broken up/on hiatus for that period. But they’re back, and sounding as good as ever. Don’t miss a track from their forthcoming full length. The new Low Roar single reminds me a little of The National, but with more of a singer-songwriter, folk-strewn sort of vibe.
