Here we are, another great day with another great collection of tracks. It seems odd to me that a band as odd and psychedelic as Foxygen would write a new song for the “American Girl” series of dolls, but that’s exactly what they’ve done. And yeah, it’d be hilarious to learn that young pre-teen girls became fans of the band because of their involvement with their favorite dolls. Elsewhere, Kacey Johansing continues to build her profile with another very strong yet relaxed slice of synth pop. She-Devils continue their streak of songs that make them a band to watch, this time going in a more psychedelic direction. Fans of dream pop need to check out You’ll Never Get to Heaven right away, as their blissfully gorgeous melodies impress at every turn.
