On occasion I like to try and do some good in the world and for my Chicago readers by pointing out a good or exciting show happening in town sometime in the near future. Today I’m happy to talk about the band Videotape. I wish I could tell you they got their name from the classic film American Psycho, however I’m almost positive that’s not the case. What is the case though is that they’re a pretty good band, and they’ll be playing a show on Friday at Township that you should attend if you’ve got the time and $6. Love and Radiation, along with Pool Holograph, are opening. Take Videotape’s Between Me and You as a sample mp3 to perhaps entice you into going. You can buy tickets for the show by clicking this link. Simple enough, right? Well, so is today’s Pick Your Poison. Good tracks today from Beaten By Them, Cave Painting, Dan Friel, Minarets and Ted Morris. Stream new things in the Soundcloud section from California Wives and Mount Eerie.
