Happy Friday! The movie event of the summer is upon us, in the form of The Dark Knight Rises. Are you as excited about it as I am? All signs point to it being one of the highest grossing movies of all time, if not THE highest. Reviews have been generally strong, even as the few critics who panned it have been getting death threats. It may not quite earn the respect and adoration The Dark Knight did, but hopefully it’s a fitting conclusion to the trio of films made by Christopher Nolan. If you went to a midnight screening, please don’t spoil it for me (or anyone else, for that matter). Let’s try and stay civil, and in a few weeks or months when everyone’s seen it we can have an open discussion about the film’s strengths and potential weaknesses. I already know the lack of Heath Ledger is going to be a problem, but we’ll see. Now before I get to this weekend-starting Pick Your Poison, a quick weekly reminder: Faronheit has a Facebook page.
