As summer slowly transitions into fall, the list of new album releases grows longer by the week, and I promise you that next week in particular is going to be a big one. This week though, is still a little lacking in the high profile release department. We’re not quite in the perils of the summer drought that came through in July though, and I’ll prove it to you. Here’s a list of artists putting out new albums today: Dinosaur Bones, Football etc., Jagwar Ma, The Moondoggies, Parachute, Psychic Teens, Royal Teeth, Sam Phillips, Valerie June, Washed Out and The Wild Feathers. Okay, so that’s not a big list by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe I overplayed my hand leading into it. Still, listen to Washed Out’s new one Paracosm and everything will be all right. Or you could listen to any number of songs as part of today’s edition of Pick Your Poison. I’d like to specifically advise you to check out tracks from The Black Watch, Cameron McGill, Marnie Stern, Seaweed Meadows, The Ten Thousand and The Young Sinclairs.
