In an odd coincidence, there are two artists in today’s Pick Your Poison that don’t capitalize their names. What does it all mean? Absolutely nothing. Just wanted to point that out for all my fellow grammar and capitalization nerds. Anyways, if you like sultry and skittering R&B, alxxa’s new one has you covered. ayokay’s latest is more upbeat synth-pop, which to be honest is kind of a mood booster in the best way. That playful vibe continues straight through Coast Modern’s “Pockets Full of No,” which effortlessly blends synths with some Jamaican dancehall rhythms into something remarkably catchy. Fans of Disclosure might find plenty to like about the new Lipless song, which features vocals from Australian pop star Georgi Kay.
